This Thursday is "Thanksgiving Day," a major national holiday in America. This holiday began with the Pilgrims who landed at present day Cape Cod in Massachusetts in 1620. I am taking the occasion to share this lesson from the Hyatt Institute about the reason the Pilgrims came to America.

In this episode, Eddie tells how Paul's 2nd missionary journey, which began in dissension, continued in uncertainty until he came to TROAS where he received a vision in the night of a man from MACEDONIA saying, "Come over to Macedonia and help us." In this episode, Eddie shares about the beginning of Paul's 2nd missionary journey in strife that erupted when Paul refused to take Mark on this journey because had left them in the middle of their first journey and returned to Jerusalem. Barnabas was determined to take Mark and the contention became so sharp that Paul and Barnabas parted ways with Barnabas taking Mark and going in one direction and Paul taking Silas and going in another direction. Eddie shows how Mark did not allow Paul's rejection to impact his life and how God blessed him with great favor in with Paul later on.
